Bias colours News. News is supposed to inform, bias misinforms.

soooo.....Fox is the only guilty party here? Do we need to really start a quote fest here? Come on man.

Fox blatantly doesn't avoid Bias. Before FN, the MSM avoided it.

I flipped through all the major networks shortly after McCain's concession speech, and Fox had on some teeny bopper show.

Go back to Canada and take your 'u's with you.

You rip on Fox probably because you cannot see beyond O'Reilly & Hannity - there are 22 more hours in the day. The commentators are mainly conservative, yet they have liberal guests on to comment all the time.

Ignorance is bliss I guess. You must subscribe to the theory that if something is repeated enough times, it magically becomes truth.

"Liberal guests"? The ones they shout down(even when not on O'Reilly) and threaten to cut the mics off?

It takes more to be "Fair and Balanced" than just having dissenting persons appear.

Prime example of what I said in another topic. This isn't liberalism; this is advocating communism in which opposition to the party is removed by force.

Fox is blatantly biased, so I'm not afraid of them. I'm concerned about people becoming so obsessed with Fox that they completely ignore the flaws of MSNBC, CNN, and BBC - a trifecta of liberal ignorance. In my mind, it balances the line between conservative bias and liberal bias - but in the end, we as a consumer lack the objectiveness we need.

The past year, the media has practically given Obama a free pass on everything..so my beef lies with the liberal majority, not Fox friggin news.

I'll bet they appear glum because they had potential bonuses waiting based on a certain outcome in the election.

Brit Hume always looks like that. I think he has some basset hound genes in him.

Fox News did a good job of reporting the 2004 & 2006 election results-both times they dropped 99% of their political bias for one night and acted like a straight news organization. What I liked was they got the relevant information out quickly and clearly and stayed away from the pontificating. They failed this year-their screens (like everyone else, just about) tried to convey far too much information at once, were confusing and by the time you figured out which part of the screen you wanted to read, it was gone.

Frankly I found Elizabeth Dole's "concession speech" (which was essentially a long, long speech about how great she was and all her accomplishments and how she lost because out of state money funded a dirty campaign against her) and the long segments of the crowds gathering in Grant Park, both on CSPAN, far more interesting than any of the networks. I'd only dip into the networks to skim for relevant info.

I was watching Fox News for awhile to get my schadenfreude on, but their coverage was so mind numbingly boring that I had to turn it because I was falling asleep. I'm sure some of that was the depression they had about losing, but their coverage probably still would have sucked if McCain was winning. CNN on the other hand was a gadget geek's wet dream, too cool.

Because Fox claims to be 'fair and balanced'. I'm totally down with sources being biased in any way they want to be, but for Fox to claim impartiality is 1.) hilarious and 2.) a lie. A lie that most of its viewers believe.

hahahha i was making that joke. I told my room mate to flip to fox news. I wanted to see if there was dead air with all the anchors slumped over their desks with slit wrists. Meanwhile on CNN everyone's masturbating.

umm, hi. we're talking about the Fox News channel, not the standard Fox Channel.

Try to keep up...

As for me, I flipped between FN and CNN HD all night... staying mostly on CNN simply because of their Magic Wall of Extra Geeky Goodness and Fun.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: anyone who obtains their "news" from only one source is a moron. period.

It will take a lot to top Katie Couric storming off the set like a child after Bush was announced the winner of Florida at about 2 in the monring in 2000, leaving Brokaw there trying to smooth it over with the viewers.

I am a dem and I can say without question Brit Hume is an outstanding anchor. He is retiring sounds like and I truly will miss the guy. I have been watching him the last few years and I can truly say I learned a lot about politics from him and Russert. Those guys had great discussions about pure politics. Hate to see the guy leave.

Don't worry, just flip to any other news channel and your set. I think almost all of them are trying to get some tongue on Obama's dick.

I found it amusing last night when him and another anchor were arguing about who had to read the next election results.
