Couldn't sleep so what did I do ?

Finished Far Cry.
Game was 3.5-4/5 but the ending was wack.

Now to finish HL2.

i prefer sleep over video games but farcry was an amazing game visually and fun. i agree the ending was a lil too over the top for me and i hope to see some kind of expansion someday.

i too need to finish half life 2 as well

I loved FarCry. The eye-candy (1280x1024, 4xAA & 8xAF) was the best I've ever seen, and the game-play was great too. I especially loved the island chain map with the patrol boats between every island; I waited until one came close to shore, sniped the driver and gunner, and swam out to steal the boat. Then I had a high-speed battle with the other patrol boats. Fun as hell.

The ending was a bit strange, though. Certainly not what I expected.

I've finished Doom 3 and HL2 in the last 6 months but I just can't seem to force myself to play Far Cry all the way through. I wonder why? The graphics are great, the action is pretty intense, and the physics are fairly realistic.

Same here. Though I can blame it on being scared of those killer apes.

Don't feel bad about HL2. It's a good game but it's also taking me a while to play to. I got it about 2 days after it's release. Time is not plentiful lately though.

If you can finish Doom3, FarCry should be easy! I was definitely ready for Doom3 to end several hours before it did. I thought Hell was the last level, but no...more dark corridors...I loved the plot and enjoyed reading/listening to the PDAs (immersion rules), and there were some very tense moments, like the cut-scenes that introduced you to the horrors, or when you finally reach the comm tower and have to choose whether or not to call the fleet. But at some point, it stopped being scary and just got boring.

HL2 on the other hand was a big non-stop thrill-ride. Yes, the story was weak (find Eli at Black Mesa East, then find Eli at Nova Prospekt, and then find Eli AGAIN at City 17; should've been called "Where's Waldo"), but damn was it fun. I never once got bored. And unlike Doom3, I was still hungry for more when it ended.

I remember feeling the same way. Now, one game I can't wait to play through in agonizing and meticulous slowness is KOTOR II. I won't be on AT for a month after that game comes out.

I ran out of bullets so I'm stuck at a certain point.
Plus i've been playing CS:S more so than HL2.
