What you don't seem to realize is that the US has the same hate and scared people who are afraid of people different than them, as your country does. Its normal human nature. However, history has shown us that these scary people eventually do integrate and they no longer become scary. It happens not because the US has some special America first mentality but rather because it's also human nature. The speed at which this process works is determined by the level of resistance by the natives. If you want to stop being scared than go out and meet with these people, get to know them, invite them into your home, show them what it means to be a native and what makes your country great.

And that would be great. This was policy for a long time(EU), for several decades in fact, the descendants will integrate, 2nd generation, 3rd generation .. but it didnt happen. Because of our relaxed laws, freedom to be and believe whatever it is you wanna believe, be it to build a tippie and smoke pot for the rest of your days, that is your choice as a free individual. We welcomed mosques and culture and with it certian imams, speakers of the old ways - and some of them hate speakers(just as you will find them with the neo nazis, clan people etc.), and they have held them in a grip ever since.
Freedom and freedom of speech works when we all agree to be free.
I agree with what you say in regards to human nature. Another thing that is human nature is to not let go of power(over people) once you have acquired it.
I would do a couple of things different.
1. Stop the surge of refugees. Provide help and shelter where they are fleeing from, create safe zones with military.
2. Same at home. Create a safe zone(maaaybe not with military!), a safe place for those who wish to escape the ghettos. Soon there would be only angry old men and semi radicalized young men left in the 'ghetto'.. let them have a circle-jerk! (but common, we all know, when where pussy goes, men follow...)
I would gladly pay antoher 5-10% tax towards these measures.

This kind of stupid thinking is what causes spouses and step children of American citizens to wait for 18 months to 2 years to get a immigrant visa/green card. Same with young children of green card holders taking 5 years to get a immigrant visa/green card. I know this because I had to deal with it with my wife/step daughter and grandson.

Even if the concept itself wasn't stupid (and it IS stupid), his implementation of this executive order is beyond incompetent.

There were literally people from these countries caught mid-flight when this EO went into effect, and CBP was left completely unprepared. Why? Because Trump didn't even bother to consult them or the State Department or anyone else, it seems, and the EO went into effect immediately instead of a future date.

He's also trapped a bunch of people from these countries inside the U.S. They can't leave, because who knows when or if they will be able to get back in?

He may go down as the most incompetent president of all-time before his four years are up.
