I'm pretty sure the police in the airports' municipalities where protests are happening are ensuring they go off in the least intrusive way possible.

There may be some inconveniences. How do you expect protests to work? They tend to be in conspicuous public spaces. That will involve road closures and mass transit crowding. The thing is protests need to be highly visible in order to have an effect. That is simply the price of living in a truly vibrant and free country.

Would you like to ban protests to some far off little corner of an area so nobody is even slightly inconvenienced? That's asinine, and detrimental to democracy.

I'm sure when Rosa Parks went and sat down on the wrong part of the bus, that whole bus was pretty inconvenienced. Shit happens.

How embarrassing. Less than 10 days in office and he's already had an executive order halted by the courts.

I guess he should have consulted 'the swamp'. Maybe they could have prevented him from following through on this harebrained idea.

I sympathize with this poor woman, but at the same time, can't help but appreciate the irony: a Trump supporter regrets her vote after realizing that her husband can't get back into the country thanks to the immigration ban.

What I read is the whole thing is on hold. There is no ban at the moment from what I see.

Thankfully we have checks and balances to keep his tyranny in check. But for how long? I see his immediate increase in military pay as a payoff, not altruism to the troops. (And I'm an Army vet who always supports military pay increases, but this one is totally suspect in it's intentions) How long until Trump defies the courts and congress and tries to use military force domestically?

What I read is the whole thing is on hold. There is no ban at the moment from what I see.

What I'm seeing is its only those caught in the aftermath that were held and faced removal. No other movements lifted. Trying to find the order again. Saw a picture of the three page order on Twitter and lost it.

Reports are conflicting about the extent. Unsure if holders of valid visas who are not in transit can get in.

I say we sympathize. Show them the compassion that Trump never will, get them on our side before 2018 arrives (assuming Trump isn't impeached by then) and make sure the Republicans lose their dominance of Congress.

This just refugees it's everyone from those seven nations even if they have a green card. They can't get in.
