Can someone explain WHY it is bad to ban refugee from entereing?

1) The ban doesn't apply to refugees only. LPRs (green card holders) and others, many who are students or have family living in the U.S. are also affected.

2) Imagine you escape a war-torn country where your home has been destroyed and possibly some of your friends and family have been killed. You spend months jumping through hoops and going through vetting to immigrate to somewhere safe. You board a flight thinking you're going to be able to start a new life when you land on the other side. Then you get to the airport and they tell you 'lol j/k, our president said we don't want you anymore' and lock you in a room or send you packing back to your airport of origin with NOTHING.

Does that not strike you as wrong?

Regardless of what you think about the country accepting more refugees going forward, it's pretty shitty to pull the rug out from under people at the last second.

By putting a temporary ban to refugees from their Islamic shit hole of a country, the chance of getting attached by foreign actors will mathematically be slimmer.

And by the way, as I recall, that Muslim kid who stabbed people awhile ago in Ohio was from Somali. The 7 countries on the list atm are undoubtedly worse. Pretty sure I have the highground here.

I think not since the basis for selection of these nations does not correspond to actual nations which passed terrorists through. Since the contention of Trump is not supported by evidence the government fails in demonstrating the burded this entails is justified.
