Definitely not condoning what they tried to do but: You're saying this like it's a natural occurrence they had no control over. Like "they didn't choose to like kids, they just do" sort of how people describe gays: "You don't choose to be gay, you just are." (That last sentence was really hard to put into words right...) Now, I agree, they should die because they acted on their feelings and will probably do it again, especially if they have their own kid. But proclaiming the death sentence just because they're even pedo's to begin with is a little extreme. Unless I misinterpreted your post, if so, sorry.

It's not the fact that they deserve to die because they made a choice. They deserve to die because of the choice they made, and how it affects someone else. What if that wasn't a sting, and that happened to a five year old girl? I was abused when I was a kid, and the only thing I'm grateful for is that my sister didn't remember it. My mother (who abused me) went on to have more kids, and abuse them.

I say kill em.

Assuming that only a quarter of all accounts are active (which may even be a big stretch) and giving pedophiles a 0.5% of the population share, you get 100,000 * 0.5% = 500. I wouldn't doubt if that number is higher based on the type of people that frequent technology-oriented forums.

This actually made me sick to my stomach. I have a 5 year old daughter and the thought that anyone would do something like this to her makes me madder than hell. I firmly believe that sexual predators of children should die. You can't fix how someone gets aroused, like was said before, once a pedo always a pedo. There was a Dateline "To catch a predator" where a guy was busted twice by the show. Even having been arrested and processed and going to his 1st court date he went out looking for a kid. F' him, they should have just driven him away to a field and put a bullet in his squash.
