I'm filling the cart at PPC's, just trying to make sure I get everything I need.
I'm mainly concerned with mounting supplies. I'm trying to come up with a decent way to mount my dual-DDC's w/ EK top (serial). I had intended on using a UN bracket but just now realized they don't make one that will work My backup plan for right now is to just head to the hardware store and just pick up a few L-brackets and mount the pump that way. I just want to make sure I mount in some way that allows airflow to the bottom of the DDC's as I have 3.2's and I've read a lot of horror stories about them overheating/dying. The pumps will be mounted close to a front intake fan with no obstruction, so airflow should be good.
Second, what's the most efficient way to dampen radiator fans when mounting them? First time mounting fans to a radiator and I can't come up with anything short of square gasket-type mountings that wouldn't allow air to escape around instead of through the radiator.
And one more quickie... Is the EK HF easy-mount kit worth the trouble? If the original mounting isn't extremely bad, I'll probably remove the easy-mount kit from my PPC's cart.
Total parts list is as follows and will be stuffed in a Caselabs M8:
What I have:
CPU block: EK Supreme HF
MB Block: Enzotech EV-X58
VGA Block: Koolance FC for 5850 (2)
Pumps: MCP355 (2)
Pump Top: EK Dual-DDC (Acetal/Serial)
Rads: Swiftech MCR320 (2)
Tube: Primochill Pro LRT 3/8 5/8
-Koolance Nozzle body (for drain)
In the PPC's cart:
Koolance Nozzle Single, G 1/4" Compression [ID : 10mm (3/8"); OD : 16mm (5/8")]
Koolance Fitting Single, Swiveling 45-Degree (V2)
ModMyToys 3-Pin Power Distribution PCB - 4-Way Block
3-Pin Fan Extension Cable 24" Black - Sleeved
Koolance Swiveling Angle Fitting, Single 90-Degree
Bitspower - Power Supply Starter (so I don't have to bother with shorting wires, just plug this in)
EK-CPU Easy Mount HF - Nickel
Alphacool Plexi G1/4" Lighting Module - Red (Just gonna use this as top res plug)
Bitspower G 1/4" Black Sparkle Temperature Sensor Stop Fitting
