Couple of question on completed cpu cooling

So after some work and time I finally have completed the watercooling and this time no air pockets in pump

2 questions that worry me:

the 45 degree danger fittin or what it's called is bending badly, normally the middle cut part that is supposed to rotate has no space but because of tension in tygon tube between reservoir and pump actually bending it, it looks like it could start to leak any point.

is this something to worry about? pictures can click to get fullsize.



Also here is the final build, in 2-5 weeks I will also watercool my 7970 I also own another used rad it is 360, I'm considering drill out harddrive cage and dremel some dvd cage to have 360 rad in front, or I will get radbox and but it in rear.

Your end result looks pretty good.

I'm not really seeing the problem with the fitting in your picture, but if it is actually bending at the rotating part that probably isn't a good idea. I'm surprised that there is that much tension on that particular run of tubing. I'd see about shortening, or lengthening the tubing, which ever works, to reduce whatever force is causing it to bend. Also, from the picture you may not even need the 45 degree barb there. Maybe consider just using a straight barb to go from there to the pump.

Also, why didn't you go for a 3x120mm rad up top? The HAF 932 fits those perfectly up there.

Well there is tension because the tube is so short so it is pulling both pump and res, I don't know how much the tension is, normal rotary does not bend this does because of tension.

In future once I get more tubing I proably will put a longer tube and remove the 45 degree fitting.

As for why I installed the 240 in top: Well the M3 screws that I have need washers as the 932 case holes are bigger then the screws.

I don't have washers so instead of using 6 fan screw to install a heavy 360 I opted to use 4 fans screws to install a 240 and I used 4 M3 screws to get the fans attached to the 240 rad.

In future once I get washers I might have my 360 rad in top of haf 932 and have the 240 externally.

Oh also I only own 2x gentle typhoons so a 360 in top would have needed to alos use som cheaper fan as 3rd.
