Covid causes man's penis to shrink by 1.5 inches. Looks like news like this would encourage at least the male population to get vaccinated. So now there are a bunch of Republican men in this country who are a bunch of dick-less cucks. Sounds about right.

Some conservative men I know would have a hole in their ass if they lost 1.5" haha.

Every criminal that has committed a crime where DNA would convict them should be seeking the vaccine. Since it alters DNA, their DNA would clear them since it would no longer match the DNA from the crime scene or rape kit.

Alters DNA? Try watching something besides the idiots on Fox Entertainment. "No. COVID-19 mRNA vaccines do not change or interact with your DNA in any way."

I feel you man. Been doing this for 4 years, since my oldest was diagnosed with leukemia before Christmas 2017, and finished treatment end of Feb 2020. When she was on treatment (and until about Aug 2020) she was immunocompromised, so any time she or anyone in her class had so much as a runny nose, we kept her home. She'll be in 3rd grade next year and she's been in school probably a grand total of 3 months in her life. It's been incredibly tough and we're hopefull everyone will be back in school in a couple weeks.

I can only imagine how hard that was—hope she gets back to school asap. It looks like Omicron is showing signs of peaking thankfully.

I'm fairly certain was mtnMan was using conservatives' own ridiculous arguments to disprove that the vaccines alter DNA in any significant manner

Our preschool made it one day before closing for a week again.
The preschool/daycare = a few days of preschool plus we pay for extra days of daycare in the same building.

Wife was notified TODAY, that our 5yr old has potentially been exposed AGAIN.

January 3rd kids went back.. 1 in kindergarten, other in pre-school and daycare.
Jan 4th preschool/daycare exposure, quarantine until 12th or a negative test. Got negative test on 7th, returned on 10th.
Went the whole week until the 14th.
Today on the 17th which is Holiday, wife receives notification of quarantine again, and pre school/daycare will be off the entire week due to staff shortages.

Get your goddamn shots you motherfucking narcissistic assholes.

Better idea, step on rusty nails and refuse Tetanus shots. PLEASE.

This is the same nutty judge who said that because Congress made the individual mandate $0 that the ENTIRE ACA was therefore unconstitutional, even things like Medicaid expansion, regulation of medical devices, etc.

Basically right wing activists now go venue shopping for this judge because they can almost guarantee a super right wing ruling - they are a district judge though so their opinions mean very little. It will be overturned.

If not of course it raises some really interesting possibilities for the military. Don’t want to charge that machine gun nest? Maybe you developed a religious objection to it.

Service people that already haven't accepted and understood that they are property of the US government have no business being in the military. What a bunch of weak cowards.

Can anyone here explain why someone like me, a 29 year old male with a normal BMI and no comorbidities, needs a vaccine that doesn't even stop transmission for a virus that at it's worst is basically a bad flu for someone with my circumstances? I know it's trendy to point the finger at every unvaccinated individual as an "antivaxxer science denier", but a lot of us just don't see the point. It also doesn't help that the official Covid narrative had changed so much before the first does were even available that I simply don't trust the media and all their self-appointed experts. I'm an "essential" worker who's also never been tested, either, and I'm fine after two years of this.

as to the bolded: you ask this question because you fundamentally don't understand how science works, and in practice, you prove it here if you don't realize it.

So, until you understand my response, calling you an anti-science fruitcake is entirely on-point.

"Everyone who disagrees with me is a dum dum i'm so smart"

this is the problem with your type. You don't understand why people disagree with you because you are convinced of your correctness, and no one explaining how things work, that you don't understand, will never convince you that you aren't correct.

So, anyone "disagreeing" with you is just doing it to do it; not because they presented a valid argument to counter your mistaken, unfounded belief.

This is how you handwave away uncomfortable truths: you just assume that the disagreement comes from some prideful vanity, and not because these people actually understand this much better than you.

Stick to your soldering of electrical components or servicing IT tickets or whatever the fuck non-science and non-medical thing that you do and maybe, when actual medical professionals and scientists who know what they are doing selflessly work to keep you alive, you can just assume they know what they are doing and accept their advice as helpful; not some type of uninformed craven attack on what you perceive to be your intelligence.

We don't come to your cubicle and tell you how to file your TPS reports or whateverthefuck useless thing you do, do we?

I think at this point, with Omicron, it doesnt matter. You are only going to kill yourself or other anti wax'ers .. So my message to you is, carry on. I mean even if it doesnt hit you, maybe you'll pass it to some other dude at the weekly antiwax gettogether at Joe's place. Go for it .

This seems backwards...

Banner Health employees with asymptomatic, mild symptoms can return to work (msn.com) [KTVK]

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Banner Health has confirmed that as of Monday, employees who are COVID-19 positive and are either asymptomatic or have mild symptoms can return to work if they feel well enough to. Banner says that employees who return to work will be required to wear N95/KN95 masks for 10 days after a positive test.

"These changes continue to be in alignment with the CDC and similar protocols have been adopted by many other health care systems," Banner Health marketing and public relations associate director David Lozano says.

Corrected for you.

I dont think its a matter of will but rather science. Viruses gonna do what viruses do. Thats why we havent eliminated the flu.
I don't think that's accurate.

1) influenza mutates at a much faster rate than coronaviruses do so it's harder to develop enduring and effective vaccines.
2) influenza is not nearly as large a threat as covid so we dedicate resources commensurate with that.

The flu is probably impossible to economically exterminate, that's not necessarily true for coronaviruses.

I understand the differences. Fact is, no one knows what the future with COVID actually look like. Theres all kinds of medical opinions, but we just dont know. I just think its interesting the CDC has moved the goalpost yet again on isolation and work guidance for healthcare workers. With that said, I understanding we are adapting to emerging variants that may require different protocols that the original COVID19. With THAT said, why are other countries experiencing a surge in cases? Are there Trumpers all over the world?

Of course we can't see the future but we have a decent idea what the future with COVID will look like from our experiences with other coronaviruses. COVID will likely continue to evolve to have more immunity escaping features but a pan-coronavirus vaccine as I linked to could be effective enough to eradicate it (and all other coronaviruses). Considering COVID's massive economic cost this is a viable solution unlike for the flu.

As we discussed previously cases are now a poor way to understand the situation with the virus as they have become decoupled from hospitalization and death. In case you were wondering this was not because Omicron wanted to be mean to Trump and make cases and deaths less correlated, it's a virus and doesn't care if it's being mean to Trump or conservatives. It's simply inherently less virulent so on a per case basis causes much better outcomes. (or I guess, less bad outcomes)

NPIs are probably not particularly effective against something as infectious as Omicron so we should probably be looking into moving away from them.

As for the metrics that do matter though unfortunately the US has a much smaller percentage of its population vaccinated than most other developed countries so we end up with worse hospitalization and death outcomes and yes, this is in significant part due to Trumpers.

Key worlds could be. How many other things have there been in the last 2 years that could be?

Well I guess we can agree to disagree. Remember when we thought if the majority of people got vaxxed it would simply die down? How'd that work out worldwide? Everything Ive read about viruses, which is quite alot including this book : Elegant Defense, An: The Extraordinary New Science of the Immune System: A Tale in Four Lives: Richtel, Matt: 9780062698537: Amazon.com: Books tells me covid will never go away. As I said, viruses gonna do what viruses do. Gone are the days of masking up and vaxxing to protect others. We know that doesnt work. The only person who thew vax helps is the ones getting vaxxed.

And the Omicron aint the last variant.

edit: content removed. I misread the info.

What could you possibly think you are arguing here? That knowledge is impossible?

Can you explain why you think we were able to eradicate other viruses but wouldn't be able to with this one?

This is COVID misinformation and you should delete it. Being vaccinated not only decreases your likelihood of infection from all variants, Omicron included, but it also reduces the period of time you are infectious if you do get it, which clearly helps other people. This is clearly established in the medical literature.
