Everyone freaked out about the opened beaches, but a month later and the county and surrounding ones seem to have a relatively low number of cases (~140 per 100k).
I read several articles much like the one the other guy posted. They were all like "how dare you!", when really, it seemed they started opening them with reasonable restrictions. People walking along the beach seems pretty low risk, especially compared to the amount of people I'm nearby indoors every time I go to the store.the beaches weren't fully opened a month ago and no one was allowed to just get some sun or take coolers and camp out for the day. the problem isn't people social distancing on the beach, it's large and close gatherings. we will see in the next few weeks how all this re-opening is going. personally, i think we will start to see all the numbers turn back up.

Seems inevitable that numbers will become higher as more things open, but the key is that it doesn't return so high that it threatens to overwhelm the health care system again. At least that is what we were told originally.
