Jeez what an asshole. Yes, give that store manager, Tison, a raise, please.

I woke up in a free country’ — Costco shopper gets bounced from store after refusing to wear a mask
Any bets that this ass wipe cheered when the bakery refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding?

You should have read the thread, it happened 4 yrs ago in Canada. Not really relevant to this discussion.

Just found that...

"Looks like this one is from 4 years ago....(it was posted on IG like it just happened) Irrelevant to the fact that these white women keep thinking that they can get away with shit like this without consequences. "

That can't be, I thought Canadians were always polite.

But today or 4 years ago, I think that is a very appropriate response to being spit on. Spitting on some (especially a cop) has always been assault.

Everyone freaked out about the opened beaches, but a month later and the county and surrounding ones seem to have a relatively low number of cases (~140 per 100k).

the beaches weren't fully opened a month ago and no one was allowed to just get some sun or take coolers and camp out for the day. the problem isn't people social distancing on the beach, it's large and close gatherings. we will see in the next few weeks how all this re-opening is going. personally, i think we will start to see all the numbers turn back up.

I read several articles much like the one the other guy posted. They were all like "how dare you!", when really, it seemed they started opening them with reasonable restrictions. People walking along the beach seems pretty low risk, especially compared to the amount of people I'm nearby indoors every time I go to the store.

Seems inevitable that numbers will become higher as more things open, but the key is that it doesn't return so high that it threatens to overwhelm the health care system again. At least that is what we were told originally.

This is for the TP hoarder/covidiot.
Australian grocery owner says no to returns.

Store boss flips off coronavirus hoarder asking for $10K toilet paper refund

The good news is the hoarder's family will never have to purchase TP again. Costco has a no-returns policy on TP currently. I'm assuming for the same reason.

who is "They were all like?"

as for overwhelming the healthcare system, i see no reason to think that won't happen again in some areas.

The people in articles like the linked one. For being local it was covered pretty nationally.

It was like they were doing the worst thing ever, but now it looks like at least the initial opening seemed to turn out okay. Maybe some positive news, at least for other outdoor things to return.

Meanwhile, Trump revs up the Fundie-whacks-

Dark days ahead, I'm afraid. Very dark.
"The churches are not being treated with respect by a lot of the Democrat governors," Trump said. "I want to get our churches open, and we're going to take a very strong position on that soon."

Funny to hear this from the spawn of the devil himself.
The guy with the blood of tens of thousands of Americans on his hands.

The gathering of people seems like a bad idea now. But I'm not sure we can jump to say their rights don't apply right now. If they are taking precautions that many other businesses and organizations are then I don't see a real problem.

Three of the giant super spreader events started at churches/religious events.

Two in South Korea totaling 5k infections, and one in France with 2500 infections.

I've probably seen similar articles. When I read them, there was a big number of people infected. I've saw some and been like "WTH no don't do that.". But I'm not sure if it is okay to just ban these things because of a risk. It's a slippery slope. Surely there has to be some way to find a common ground.

This is exactly why you ban certain high volume/people, closed quarter gatherings.
Because of the risk.
I know, I feel like that is a bad idea when we've seen how outbreaks have spread. It doesn't seem like a good thing to do when a virus is spreading around. But I'm not sure it's okay to suspend rights when someone thinks should.

You know stupid people will be stupid! In this case you cannot count on adults being responsible!
Sad to say if everybody dies there won`t be a need for peoples rights!
Especially when people don`t understand that just by being out and about if they are a carrier...well y6ou get what comes next!
