Are you fucking kidding me? People hate on Buck/Aikman and it's unjustified.
Al Michaels is one of the best in teh business STILL to this day.

Simms is hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorible.
He's constantly WRONG and or ignorant of what is even going on.

Yeah, I don't get it. Buck never bothered me in football or NFL. I don't really care either way with him, but I don't understand the hate. Maybe if there is a reason?

Al Michaels...wth? Isn't he one of the original MNF guys? I feel like Al/Madden/Summeral those type of dudes should be staples for football.

Simms is just a big doof. But maybe that has a lot to do with CBS. I was always sour on their sports stuff, maybe because I detest Jim Nance. I detest golf (which is a tragic human invention), and associate Nance with golf and that BS Masters crap. and figure skating. wtf is this golf/figureskating dude doing football? I don't get it.

I have no real issues with Aikman, although he's pretty boring. People can't stand Joe Buck for a reason.



I think Michaels has a drinking problem. Or maybe he's just becoming senile. His diction problems have been getting worse and worse every year and it bugs the hell out of me.

Of course he does! and so does Collinsworth! That's what always made those gigs so entertaining. I think the same is true of that Mike Patrick guy and, possibly, Jaworkski. Always entertaining!

Summerall was one of the best, and his partnership with Tom Brookshier was maybe my favorite NFL announcing team of all time. But he was another who should have been retired ten years earlier. He was awful at the end, and it was pitiful to watch. Madden's shtick just got old.

I think Summerall was dead for the last 3 years he was in the booth. Just horrible.

Simms never bothered me at all. Joe Buck is my biggest dislike among announcers. I've turned off games that I wanted to watch where he's announcing. And Al Michaels, who should have been forced to retire at least five or ten years ago. Painful to listen to these days.

Two guys I wish I could hear more of are Mike Mayock and Brian Billick.

I'm 100% with you on Joe Buck, except I don't turn off the TV. I guess I just pull hair instead lol.

With Buck the problem is not about style, but substance. He literally adds nothing whether he's calling football or baseball. But he's made a great career out of riding his dad's coattails, I guess a lot of people don't even notice or care how clueless he is.

Well I wish him the best, I always thought people said too often he made big mistakes at times but hell, ALL QB's are gonna make a big mistake, even Brady tossed a pick-6 in SB 51. IMHO I thought he'd give it one last shot with the Texans, their D is really amazing so they wouldent have needed to score 25-30 points/game to win, just someone who could properly read defenses and move the chains. He's a scratch golfer as well, and might find work as a color guy on the PGA tour.
