GB has one of the best cornerback tandems in the league, every player on the Bears came in knowing that the game was utterly useless from any perspective, and Rex was trying out a load of new passing plays that he hadn't even been practicing more than a week (check out the Chicago Trib for confirmation of that if you like; it was in either Friday or Sundays sports section); what in hell did you expect?

Given, the three (four?) consecutive wins before the GB game weren't anything special, but A: wins are wins, B: if the DALLAS defense could almost completely shut down Alexander, Hasselbeck, and your four or five tier 1/low tier 2 receivers, I can only imagine what the Bears D will do to Seattle's struggling offense, even if they aren't their usual Monsters of the Midway.

And Lovie has now publicly committed himself to taking Grossman out if he's being "Bad Rex". Griese isn't Joe Montana or Brett Favre (circa 95-97, 00-03), but he'll get the job done, especially against Seattle's severely depleted secondary and sloppy run defense.

Seattle also gave up 4.6 yards/rush on only 26 rushes on a team that was throwing from the start; that was rushing with Thomas Jones' less talented brother behind a weaker O-line, and a Cedric Benson wannabe, who wasn't even employed in the proper plays/manner in the Dal/Sea game.

It'll be a good game, don't get me wrong, but you forget that Chicago may have stumbled in their last games, but they were still tied for 2nd most wins in the NFL. No matter how bad the team or Grossman has played, they have STILL found ways to win.

Seattle already lost once against the Bears, and not only stumbled, but slid on their asses into the playoffs, despite their seeding.

Their near loss today (they basically won based on luck, with Romo slipping up) at home, where they've had major success recently, even in the playoffs, cements their loss next week hands down.

Anything else i'm missing?

Come on, quit making excuse. I don't care what today's announcers say (PS it was aikman and buck), it was OBVIOUS that Witten didn't get it, I knew it after the play happened, I was shocked they even spotted it so far.

Dallas lost the game, fair and square. They had multiple opportunities to win, and failed. My favorite player, Jason Witten, even admitted that he thought forward progress got him the first so he was trying to spin for the TD, otherwise he would have just fallen forward and picked up the half yard they needed for the first. Dallas lost. Romo blew it. Glenn screwed up. The defense screwed up. Roy Williams screwed up. Face it, they had plenty of chances, and they blew it, they have no one to blame but themselves. When you hold a pro bowl caliber QB to a 66 rating, get two picks, and hold last year's NFL mvp to under 70 yards, you should win, and they didn't. Its their fault, its not the ref's fault. Just f*cking eat it, and start building up hope for a revamped offensive line, an actual player at free safety, and maybe a 3-4 d. coordinator for next year.

you are right on most. it really depends on what "Rex" shows up.

sure they found ways to win. when the defence was dead on. the last 3 games they have been avarage.

but if Lovie has said that he will yank Rex if he starts to play bad thats great. just worries me he will wait to long. they can't afford for rex to throw 3 int and have 2 fumbles in a half.

Lol, yeah, that's what everybody here in the Windy City is worried about... I can't count how many articles have referenced slipping a roofie in his Gatorade, or lacing his dinner with Valium, heh.

And the last three games, they've still been better than average. Tampa and Detroit were admittedely(sic) tougher on them than they should've been, but against GB, they really weren't all that bad. They only allowed 12 points against a Brett Favre who happens to be peaking a bit right now, and a GB team that has always played them tough, and whom were fighting for a playoff spot.
