I am normally a pretty calm guy. I sit in my cube I listen to my music, and I do my job. Well the first part of my rant is as such:

Sitting in my cubice (office + cube) and I am busting out some tickets, when I have that feeling on the back of my neck that someone is watching me. I turn around and behold " The Office Biatch" cometh.
She asks me "What are you listening to?"
So I said, "This, oh its Van Halen"
She responds, " I thought I heard something about the devil"
Me: "Yeah, it's the song "Running with the Devil"
Her: "Gasp, are you trying to invite Satan into your life, you know you can become demon posessed if you listen to this stuff long enough. I am afraid I am going to have to ask you to change the song."

( now bear in mind this music cannot be heard outside of my cube, you have to walk into my cube to hear it, and and stand by me to even hear the words, well at least all the normal people in the office can only hear it when they are in my cube.)

I respond: "No, I am afraid I won't. I do not have the same beliefs as you, and you can not hear it from your cube.
Her: You are filling the airwaves in the office with demonic spirits, that will hinder the work of the Lord.
Me: uh....*blink* looks around to see if I am on camera and this is a joke
Her: I will see that this is stopped.

She F(*& goes to my boss, who shares her beliefs, he then comes over and tells me that my music is affecting the morale of the office and that I need to turn it off.

Thankfully, I only have a few more weeks here, oh and yeah this is at one of the top 5 banks in the nation.

you should have said 'no it won't. i've been listening to it for years" then lower your voice to sound like some evil demon and say "and i haven't been affected by it."

or start playing some death metal and/or decorate your desk with all kinds of like fantasy art with demons/monsters/wizards, etc.

we need name of the bank, commercial bank or i bank? hard to imagine that happening at an ibank. if an admin assistant said that sh1t to me, i would kicking her ass out of my fvcking cube after polishing my ferragamo.
