I am usin win me,and i am having excessive cp usage in it,
the only thing i can find is a proggie called,
MSGSRV32.EXE,
it's in the system folder,
and for life of me, i can remove it,
not thro add/remove or rename or deletion,
i've tried to do it from a c: prompt, and still will not let me,
i am wits end,
i cant find any other utility running at all,
i am using a proggie called wintop and end it all.
these prog's tell me i have a background usage and kinda point to this msgsvr32.exe,and i seen in an old thread, someone said it wasnt a nesc thing to be installed, but it didnt elaborate on how to remove or avoid installing this item,
if any might a have a suggestion,TKS

Many Windows applications operate by sending and receiving events to each other, aptly called messages. If you don't want you programs to talk to each other, likely leading to their demise, boot into DOS ad delete that file. Be forewrned, you probably won't be thanking me later.

Besides, CPUs running RC5 are always at 100%.

Muhahahahahahahahahahaha

I got it,
And sorry to say,
any and all users of Me are having the same thing go on behind thier backs,
It resides in Help Center,(Cp Usage)
Although i do not no how to disable its support for help assistance at this time,i am relieved to find its an actual byproduct of windows resource consumption habit. And Not,an Amd/Via issue
And for refrence,i have installed me(4.90-3000.2)on several box's,
Intell & Amd,And using system monitor, set to monitor kernel usage at a refresh of a min of 1 sec,
Results were same across all rig's,
when hand off mouse,cp usage will idle at 50-52%
of course,i have tried to turn all 32 & 16 appz till near its death knell, and same results.
So in conclusion,i am thankfull for any that looked into it,
figures its windows anyways,
Gratefull its not an inherent design flaw of hardware
my two cycles
(minus 52% idle cycles)
