If indeed it's really a broken pin, It's not impossible to solder on a replacement pin.. just really time consuming and nerve wrecking. Grab a good, low-power fine-tipped soldering iron, a copper or iron shred of metal, and some depressants, and you're good to go. I failed, but failed spectacurlarly!
