guys i thought i should add.

Like gillbot said, one should always double check the real voltage with bios read voltages.

A lot of people dont like premium boards, however the trend now in premium boards is to put voltage points where u can take a multi meter and get the voltage directly off the board and not via bios like so:

I still am the side saying never fully trust bios unless u've already pre calibrated it to a real multi meter.

What unit is Everest displaying CPU current (not Wattage) in? because my q6600 when maxed is showing around 80.06A which I know isn't Amps and Can't be milliamps is it deciAmps or WTF? CPU 22.69 A that's Nominal overclocked to 3.6 ghx cpu multiplier 8 on a Ga EP45-UD3P

This is a sticky for PSU's but it still applies: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=257485

Moral is, NEVER trust software readings unless you can verify them with actual measured readings.

For the sake of completeness, I repeated the test with LLC disabled, the results were essentially the same though the VCORE dropped under load instead of going up. No spikes.

This summed it up in a nut-shell, and also sorta validates/confirms the utility of monitoring Vcc with CPUZ because the o-scope showed us exactly what CPU-Z showed us all along.

(no significant spikes occur when unloading but LLC does prevent Vdroop when loading)

A device that dissipates 105W of energy and has a voltage in the 1.3V range would have around 80 Amps of current going through it, yes.
