CPU & Ram upgrade advice for a Dell Inspiron 570:

Mobo is: Dell Inc. 04GJJT

They mainly use it just for web surfing and video watching of course but it's having some issues which is no surprise.

It has a AMD Sempron 140 which stutters on 1080P video and some media sites. Also 2GB of Ram which makes loading slow.

So I'm thinking 8gb with like 4x2GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231393 should be sufficient enough.

Now for a bit better CPU.... Shouldn't need a better GPU since not a gamer.

Looking for the best bang for the buck....

Will most likely be upgraded to Windows 10 when it comes out too.

I was searching the net about info about the Dell Inspiron 570. It looks like upgrading the processor will be limited. If the info is correct the follow chart below shows processor that should work in it.

But if you try to call dell and ask what CPU's are supported on the board. They won't tell you that info.

I was given a 570 a month ago. I did a lot of research. Regardless of what Dell says, you can put 8gb 1333 in it as well as a Phenom ii x4 (965) (around $60 to $70 CPU)

Personally I'm running an Athlon ii x4 (630) on it.

This is exactly what I was looking for. However, I'm open to upgrading not just the CPU but the motherboard as well. Any suggestions for something that would fit in this case?

I got a call saying they want to install better hardware and hold off on a new System....

Anyways I think that should do it unless there is better deals? They just surf the web. Not a multiple Tab user either....
