CPU Speed & Bus Speed ??? HELP

I am looking to build another computer and have a board that will support up to a 1.4 .

FIRST QUESTION - I am wondering if I am going to see a noticeable difference between a bus speed of 200 and 266?

SECOND QUESTION - I am also wondering what is the best athlon chip for the money right now? ( Is there a big difference between a 1 gig and a 1.4gig)

I appreciate any advice you can give!!!!

FIRST QUESTION: Yes, you will see a difference between the 200 and 266. Go for the 266 especially since 200 chips are much harder to find now (since they're not making them...)

SECOND QUESTION: I don't think you'll see a huge difference today between 1.0 and 1.4, but if you plan on keeping your chip for a while and if you're a gamer, then you will see a difference in the coming months (how long from now? not sure). I don't think the price difference is much between the 1.0s and 1.4s. I'd go ahead and go for the 1.4 (133 bus or effectively 266 (they're the same thing)), but that's just me.

If the board supports the XP I'd get the 1500 if not I get a 1ghz AXIA and on many setups it'll hit 1.4mhz + and they go for approx. 80$ where as a 1.4mhz costs 120+ but if your not set up for or plan to do serious overclocking then defintely get the 1.4mhz.

the XP has new copper interconnects that allow it to run faster and use less power. It also includes a data prefetch cache predictor and a translation look-aside buffer that helps it to use its 384K of cache. It also supports SMP (multiprocessors), and why I think they call it xp is because it now has intel's SSE instructions and winxp uses those.

The XP is able to run SMP configuration w/ no probs (none reported so far)...but it is NOT officially support SMP...Athlon MP does.

I was able to pick up a New 1.33 gig 266 bus for $95.00 shipped. It should work out great for me I believe according to what you guys have said.
