CPU spiking issue

I have a small laptop that I used for browsing and come older games, but nothing major. Recent the CPU start spiking and I cant seem to figure out why. Here is my HiJackThis log:

I don't see anything that's really bad - just the O4.

Make sure hidden files/folders is enabled.

Boot into Safe Mode.

Run HijackThis, click O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [scroller] fpapli.exe and click 'Fix checked.'

Delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\fpapli.exe

Reboot into Normal Mode.

Download Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe
or from
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malw...nti-Malware_d5756.html

Install it, update it and then run it.

You should be okay.

If your still having this problem try disabling automatic updates if its enabled. I have seen it doing this on a few machines starting just a week or two ago.

To test if that will help you just go Start > Run --> CMD -->net stop wuauserv

Thanks for the advice... I'll give it a shot tonight or tomorrw and see if any of the suggests clears it up..
