CPU Temperature!!!!!

do you guys know what temperature is goog or ok for my Athlon 1.4 FSB 266? my CPU current temperature is 45C.

and how do you know the FSB is really 266 because i bought it as an OEM. how can u tell it is an Athlon 1.4 FSB 266 or 200.

Try cpuID from here. That should tell you loadsa useful stuff like your clock multiplier, bus speed, cache details etc.

Yup...cpuID is a great program for that type of thing.

45 degrees sounds a little hot. Are you using any thermal goop? Make sure the heatsink is seated properly on the chip.

No need to download anything. Just check the FSB speed in BIOS. If it's 133, then its a 266 (the FSB is really 133, but memory can be accessed on both the rising and falling curve, so it's doubled).

Mine is at 39C consistently.

I have a 1.4 266FSB
with a Thermalright SK6 and 6000 RPM T+T fan.
I have ASII also.
