CPU-Z question

Hello,

I have seen on alot of Overclocking reviews, even for the Intel Core 2 DUO systems, that there CPU-Z screenshot says CPU # 1 and CPU # 2 in front of Processor Selection.

Can someone please explain this to me? Why does my CPU Z not show it like this? I can see both cores under CrystalCPU ID and there are two processors present in the Device Manager and two graphs for the activity in Task Manager.

Is this normal?

What is your processor? I will take a look at mine tonight, havent looked at it since I set it up...

Thanks for your answer Kakumba. My processor is Intel Core 2 DUO E6300...Strange, a latest review here at AnandTech is showing it same as mine but an older review shows BOTH. I want to know why this is happening.

Yes, the newer versions of CPU-Z show only the number of physical processors. It still says that you have two cores right next to the processor thing, though.

yup, the jump from 1.35 to 1.36 (think those are the right versions?) is the differences, just looking at my systems.
