Hi there,

Has anyone ordered from or heard of this company? I'd be interested to know of your experiences with them if you have ( www.cpusforless.com ) .
I've checked a few Merchant ratings sites but can't find them. If you know of any comprehensive sites like these I'd appreciate it.

I ordered from them a week ago, and was relatively pleased with their service. According to them, even though it says orders are shipped the next day, they told me it takes two days to ship cpu's (after I recieved my order later than expected). I wrote to them about it, and the person said they should change what it says, but it hasn't happened yet. They're a good place to buy from if you don't need your stuff super fast, they have good prices and cheap shipping.

Great thanks for the replies. I've actually already ordered from them, but that was on June 10th, and my order status hasn't changed since then ie: no tracking # or final price ( I live in Canada so shipping will cost more )and I got an autoreply but no real confirmation. Everything I've heard about them so far has been good though...

Got 2 CII 566's from them on Mon. 12 Jun. On Tues. I bumped them to 952mhz at @1.85 volts. Never looked back. They cost a little more (but I ordered 7 items plus the free fan for $3.55 shipping) but they don't accept returns (unless defective) and don't pretest. Both policies increase your chances. Besides they have very informative pictures and explainations. They obviously only cater to the overclocking crowd. I think that they could be picking their stock carefully to stay or grow in business.
BTW, Ordered on Sun. Could have received on Fri. but my mail was held since I was out of town. Actually recieved on Mon. 1800 miles away.

I wish I could tell you but like I said I haven't gotten any update since I ordered. I wrote them yesterday but haven't go a reply either. When you hand your credit card number out to someone you sorta hope they'll keep you posted, you know?

My first order from them was extremely positive, I received the order in 3 days. But I've had nothing but headaches on my 2nd order. I ordered a p650 early last week, and they didn't ship it until yesterday. In the time it took them to ship (which they claim next day on their website), the p650 dropped significantly in price. I called him about this and asked him to credit me the drop in price, since it took him so long to ship my order. He promptly refused, so now I'm in the middle of refuting his charges to my CC with my CC company.

P.S. I wrote them 2 days ago asking if the 650 and 700 cB0's were in stock, and they haven't replied. Since then, my friend who was interested in them has ordered from Atacom instead.

I never order chips from him but a lot of people seem to recommend him for chips. I don't think he has enough supply of chips with all the demands.. but heat sink he has no problem with.

I ordered the same as you ( 650e cB0 ), hence my trepidation at being ignored for such a big ticket item ( well big ticket for me ). I mean I was prepared to wait 2 weeks or so, but I'd like to know what's going on.

I thought I'd bring this up again here, before I do at www.resellerratings.com. Unfortunately I'll be posting this there soon:

I have heard nothing but glowing endorsements regarding this company up until the time I attempted to purchase from them. To be concise: I placed an order for a substantial amount on June 10th. According to their site they ship next business day, in this case the 12th. By the 16th I had received no further confirmation ( other than the autoreply I got on the 10th ) and my online order status hadn't changed. I emailed then to inquire about the status, which remained unanswered by the 19th. On this day I again sent an email requesting that they at least reply or I would be forced to notify my credit card company. By end of that business day ( now ) I had still not received a reply.

It's one thing to be late but quite another to ignore-in-the-face. I really don't understand this, given the good reviews they seem to get.

Why do most other sites charge 13$ for just 1 cpu and takes 3 day
and other even ground.
Maybe they are playing a different game.
Less price on cpu, bigger charges on shipping.

CPU's for less is ticking my off too. I haven't heard anything from them either in a wile. As of 3pm EST i told them to just delete my order because i was tired of waiting...

I've ordered from a smaller company before and the processor I wanted was not in stock when I called but he told me he would get it within a day or two and then ship it out. Everything went as he told me and I got the processor when he told me which was about five days. They don't carry many items but what they have is very well priced. It pays to call and talk sometimes rather than order online and hope for the best!

Well, just to let everyone know, i fired off 2 e-mails last week to CpusForLess regarding the availability of the p3-650 cB0 that htey had(well, 1 e-mail from me adn 1 from my friend). To this day, there has yet to be a reply from them. It's been over 1 week for the first e-mail, adn 4 days since the second.

That just isn't good cust. service.

Well I don't know if my last kinda nasty email paid of or if it's just coincidence, but my online status showed that it was shipped today and I got 3 different form-type emails telling me the same. Never did get an actual response, but this is better. I'll feel a lot better when it's in my machine working.

Update... Once again.... i e-mailed them today and no luck.... So i bit my lip and *had* to order a processor quick so i went back to Atacom.com and ordered an OEM 700e cb0..... i just hope it will reach 933Mhz w/ a Alpha PAL6035u. Thats the only setting i want it at.. no higher..

I ordered 3 golden orbs a couple of weeks back (just before the free fan deal), and they arrived in Australia one week later. I can't get anything from the US here in a week! On top of that, I only got charged $3.55 shipping for the whole order, they got charged $14.62! No complaints here. It's a real shame that local computer shops can't even begin to compete with international shops! (/begins missing the US again)

Man that sucks for you guys that are not getting any services from CPUforLess. I made my order on the night of 8th (thursday) and received it on the 17th Saturday). It took them a while to get back to me and to ship the CPU (13th). Guess I was lucky.

OK they have come through, with an explanation too that might answer some of the problems others were having:
After getting the shipping notices I got an actual reply to my email, and they said they were moving over the past few days and were apologetic etc. Apparently their prices will be even lower now, so they say. Anyway I thought I should post this so you could hear their side. They maybe should have told people this was happening, at least I got a real response.
