Crab, but not by much. Both are expensive, I remember 6-8 years ago buying snow crab on sale for $3.99/lb, those days are LONG gone, your lucky to get it at $7.99 now. I think the Government stepped in and started with quotas limiting catch size.

Alaskan king crab > Stone crab > Australian lobster > Main lobster > all the rest

For the most part I agree, but lobster is delicious.

Unless you're talking about deviled crab, which is usually about 1% crab and a bunch of filler.

Lobster tail is delicious, but it's tough (compared to crab) and sometimes it's smelly.

You simple can't beat snow crab legs.... that spongy, chewy texture:

I can't believe these are ALL YOU CAN EAT at your average Chinese buffet. Sooo good.

When you start to factor in more expensive stuff like Alaskan King crab, Dungeoness crab & Stone crab (delish), Lobster stands no chance.

And crabs are less sea cockroach-like compared to Lobsters.

Love crab, like lobster. Lobster tends to be tougher and stringier than crab, and I just don't like the texture as much.

Tough question. Crab is harder to ruin, but also has less meat. I personally think a well-cooked lobster is better by a tail.

How about clams vs mussels vs oysters?

Lobster. When done properly lobster is much better than crab, which I also love. The problem is that lobster is extremely difficult to cook properly, even tougher than properly searing a diver scallop. For those saying that lobster is tough or stringy it sounds like you've only had it over-cooked because when it is done properly there is no contest.

If I am at a bar - crab legs; especially if it's a seafood tower. But, REAL crab legs. Not the slimy slim crab legs that shit bag buffets serve (Aria in Las Vegas, I'm looking at you,...).

If I am at a table dinner in a nice restaurant - lobster. And, there is a good chance I will order a crab cake appetizer.
