Whoever said Newegg was gouging isn't kidding. Check out the latest Pricewatch for an AMD FX-55; the lowest price is $880, which is inline with prices for new FX processors...Newegg is selling it for $1200!!!

Always, ALWAYS check other retailers like Monarch, MWave, and ZipZoomFly before ordering from Newegg...you'll save a few bucks at minimum.

NE has been on a roll of upping there prices over the last year. The only deals they have are in the refurbished section and even then those have become stale at best. I find myself visiting them only to view pictures of the items anymore.

one thing ive also noticed, there shipping is slipping big time. sometimes it takes 3 days for an item to ship. and now that they opened the new jersey branch, its a crapshoot whether or not your order gets here quick (why i dont mind paying tax). ive started looking at other retailers more and more lately.

yup, Newegg is 2nd tier for me now...takin a dive. Still great service, but so does zzf, at usually cheaper prices and still free shipping.

Fully agree to all the comments made here so far ... I used to ONLY buy from Newegg - for lowest prices, free shipping and quick delivery.

Now their prices are no where close to the lowest, often 5 to 10% higher than ZipZoomFly, MWave, Monarch, SVC etc.

The free shipping is all but gone

The quick delivery is still there (at least WAS there when I shopped there the last time), but that alone hardly justifies always going to give them my business.

I hope Newegg does something to fix these ... and quick ! Brand loyalty only lasts a short time ... unfortunately !

i live maybe 20mins from their warehouse in Edison (i think), and it still takes AT LEAST 3 days to get to me with ground shipping

I pulled the trigger on the $49 AR 1gb Kingston Elite Pro CF card.

I havent gotten a rush or overnight order in under 3-4 days with them in over a year. They've got some work to do over there. Agree with everything everyone has said, I go with ZZF before NE now. ZZF has been beating NE by 2-3 days for me. And the price is only better at NE if there is some other promotion running.
