The jack is average quality. It's probably made in China, has that look to it. It's a 2-1/4 ton jack, but it works well enough. One thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a carrying handle. I mean, you can grab it by the front axle and carry it that way, but my old jack had a plastic carrying handle about midpoint on the thing so you could carry it with the wheels level. The stands are frame-welded with cast raising extensions. A steel ratchet bar keeps the extenstions locked in place when you extend them.
I certainly wouldn't use this jack to raise a house...
