You can't just post a creepy couple of lines. You've got to sell yourself.

Facepalm, that is not what it means. Just like if I stop paying rent you still have to go to court to kick someone out.

Facepalm.

You are month to month with the OWNER OF THE PROPERTY! So you move out when it goes sour. At most you would be out 1 months rent if you can't stomach living there the remainder of the month.

yeah... at least in NJ, tenant rights are a lot different when you're talking about an owner-occupied property versus a big apartment complex or something.

in an owner-occupied property, you can pretty much evict anyone at any time as long as you give them the minimum notice (typically 30-60 days)

Yea, what I'm saying is you can have these ads for a live-in girlfriend while you are renting month to month. Then you avoid any squatter rights issues or other legal drama by simply leaving. It's like giving someone your hotel room key, if you want to cut ties, simply check out of the hotel....

/this is the right answer.

That said I am sure some ATOTers will have complaints.

If they want whatever chick got thrown out with her shit on the curb, they should make another CL post.

My Fiancee and I almost had one of those...she clicked the wrong thing and it was recording me all day. She is really upset and I believe her now. I told her it cannot happen again.

Tomorrow is my birthday, she better make it totally right.

Oh the irony. Isn't your "fiancee" technically your live-in GF? Is she even divorced yet? and yet you pay for her and her kids.

You say that with authority. Have you tried one of these arrangements?

Not personally, but I know people that own property and that have had chicks they broke up with never move out.

Here is the deal, if she has personal belongings at your home...it's technically a place she is living. Don't let her move shit in unless you want here to pull something like this.

That said after 90 days, you have to call the sheriff if they don't move out. It may add up to 4-6 weeks depending on their schedule to perform the physical eviction (take their stuff to the curb).

During this time frame I have personally known people to clean out a house even down to the freaking folding closet doors. Then you have to deal with small claims court and other bullshit.

reported for this out of the blue call out that has no relevance here.

She's actually been working now, the main reason she wasn't is I didn't want her in protective service work down here carrying a gun....

In S. Florida, crackheads just shoot a guard over $10 in copper.

She's also had $1000 of income per month always. She's also sold off about $5k+ in personal belongings to contribute so she's not just a free-loader.

I am willing to bet her current income is more than yours though

Sorry you are such an angry man.

Problem with "take their stuff to the curb" is if someone steals it, your responsible for the damages, you have to give someone a reasonable amount of time to collect and move their possessions, I've seen at least a dozen of these on TV court shows and the person who "curbs" someones belongings loses every time.

The more of this thread I read the louder She's Crafty plays in my head.

The girl came up to me she said she loved the show
Asked her to come home and she couldn't say, "No!"
We got the crib - there's Adam and D.
We didn't say a word - they just stared at me
I said, "I don't know her just met her tonight."
And Adrock started hiding everything in sight
D. pulled me over said, "Hide your gold,
The girl is crafty like ice is cold!"
The girl is crafty - she knows all the moves
I started playing records - she knew all the grooves
He thought she was a thief - and D. was right
But I just figured she'd spend the night
When I woke up late in the afternoon
She had taken all the things from inside his room
I found myself naked in the middle of the floor
She had taken the bed and the chest of drawers
The mirror, the TV, the guitar cord
My remote control and my old skateboard
She robbed us blind - she took all we owned
And the boys blamed me for bringing her home

He's saying to do it legally with an eviction through the courts.

As I said before, doing this in a residence where you are not personally renting it month to month is a very bad idea. Or you can start the arrangement at the tail end of a longer term lease, and if shit happens, you don't renew the lease and you bail.
