Craigslist question

I've sold a few thing on CL but I've received the same exact question 4 times and it's worded as such:

"Is the XXX you posted on Craigs List still available? If so, I'd like to get more information."


What's the catch? Are they just gathering email?

That's about what I ask when I email on a listing that doesn't have good detail. Maybe the person's just a bad planner and didn't realize they were responding multiple times on the same listing.

That's what I thought the 1st few times but now it's 4 emails written exactly the same.

It's always from a gmail account and the they will use a 1st, (period) and last name, so it will be an email from John John.Smith@Gmail.com
