Jason Statham is like the genetically engineered lovechild of Jackie Chan and Bruce Willis, raised in a secret lab in England. The guy does most of his own stunts, is supremely suave and cool (while being bald), and most of his films have horrible plots that are saved by virtue of the awesome action which lies therin. Yeah, he's not going to win any Oscars for his performance, but he's fun to watch.
I'm looking forward to this flick. It's probably going to be a weak plot filled with all sorts of holes, but if you think about it the entire point of the plot is to serve as an excuse for non-stop action. When I see a Jason Statham flick I go for the action, and that's exactly what this movie is supposed to deliver. Apparently it's kind of like a "back to basics" movie; minimal character introspection, minimal plot, just explosions and guns and fights and car chases. It's like Serious Sam for movies. I am so there.
