Well if it isn't being taught anywhere, him cancelling it isn't even a thing.
Meh.
I mean why stop there? Just run on banning terrorism in schools, or teaching nazi propaganda, or any of innumerable horrible things we don't currently teach.Maybe the more progressive members of the board should vote on a resolution banning teaching religion in schools. Yeah I know but same rationale. After all Constitutional doctrine informs us of the separation of church and state.
to restore excellence in education by ending the use of divisive concepts, including Critical Race Theory, in public educationWell if it isn't being taught anywhere, him cancelling it isn't even a thing.
Meh.
So Youngkin ran on canceling a non-existent thing and convinced a majority of VA residents the #4 ranked schools in the nation are failing their kids.Well if it isn't being taught anywhere, him cancelling it isn't even a thing.

Thats not even close to true. You havent been paying attention.Well if it isn't being taught anywhere, him cancelling it isn't even a thing.

Of course you are cool with that.
What do you think would be the blowback if Democrats make teaching religion in schools illegal.
I'll tell you why it is a thing. Some school districts in TX already banned teaching some writings by MLK claiming CRT.
Thats not even close to true. You havent been paying attention.
The republican klan has been trying to push their agenda on schools for decades. If they are allowed a crusade on something that isnt a problem they will make more problems for students, and they'll fuck up other things incidentally.
As if Virginia is the only state that conservatives are doing this in? Piss-poor attempt at deflection.Virginia can run their state as they see fit. Sorry you don't like it.
If neither religion nor CRT are taught in any public school, why is it an issue?Residents of Virgina are entitled to elect THEIR officials in what ever way they desire.
Other than religious private schools which teach it. I don't know of any public schools that teach religion. I can't say for sure nationwide do or not, but none here where I live do.

You don't think getting black history cancelled using CRT as a pretense is an issue? Some districts have had MLK cancelled based on that.Neither one is an issue as far as I am concerned....

You don't think getting good and decent school officials fired over CRT an issue? I suggest you read what happened in Southlake TX and their first black principal fired because of it.
What does all history even mean? That isn't what I said and you're bring in something else.
They should teach all history. Not black history and Not white history.
CRT is not even being taught so it isn't a deal at all. As per your statements and nobody has answered your pleading for a location that does teach CRT.
Depends on the perspective, which of course means there's conflict between different 'histories'.What does all history even mean?
What does all history even mean?
I genuinely don’t know what you mean. The idea that people can teach ‘all history’ or some sort of unbiased history is complete nonsense. Usually what it means is they want people to teach history with their personal bias. Not cherry picked history to support someones specific narrative.
You knew what I meant. You are just being obtuse.
If Republicans aren't interested in cancelling their chosen history why have they done things likeNot cherry picked history to support someones specific narrative.

So teaching about Nazis should be neutral since doing otherwise is supporting a narrative? Not cherry picked history to support someones specific narrative.

There were very fine people on both sides. So teaching about Nazis should be neutral since doing otherwise is supporting a narrative?
It isn't a deal at all but Glen Youngkin got elected based on it. Based on the lie of getting rid of something that doesn't exist. That isn't what I said and you're bring in something else.

If Republicans aren't interested in cancelling their chosen history why have they done things like
cancel MLK writings (TX)
Ban discussing the Jan 6 insurrection in social studies class (PA)
