If any of you watch any of the special features on the Pixar movie DVDs, you'd know that Joe Ranft was a BIG part of their success. This seriously sucks.

I check here every so often and thought about starting a thread. To avoid being repeatedly told "repost", I did what is generally recommended before starting a thread, I searched for the name Ranft, and found this thread.

i always hate it when a person w/ such creative talent passes away . When they're out driving, or doing anything, they always have stories in their heads that they think of and how they can potray such a story . now we'll never know what more awesome stories he had in store for us


it's a loss for everyone who enjoys good stories and creative story telling

then again, it's great that we've also been blessed w/ all the good stuff that came out of pixar.
