I agree with the management and owners of the place. I've run into similar situations when my daughter was younger and not once did I ever think to just use the table in the dining room.

Not only is the mother a dumb bitch she is involving the media to bring herself attention.

As a father who has had to bring young children to places, I commiserate with the mother's plight. With that said, what she did is completely unacceptable.

I've been in these types of situations and usually I'll ask the restaurant if there is a place I can change my kid's diaper. Most restaurant workers are completely understanding. I'm sure they would have found an out of the way spot for the mother to change the kid's diaper.

As someone who is going out to eat, I don't want to be eating on the same table you just changed a diaper on. Hell, I don't do that in my own house, why the hell would I want you to do it on a table where I might be eating?

I hope the restaurant contacts the other customers during that time and has them sue the mom for pain and suffering.

She was just pissed that there was no changing table in the restroom and was trying to make a point. I agree with the restaurant. nobody wants to see or smell a dirty baby diaper inside a restaurant. Heck, if she was changing a dirty diaper in her van and I walked by, the smell alone could have caused me to change my mind about eating in the restaurant. I guess it depends on how good the pizza is.

Why didn't she let her husband stay inside and watch the other kids while she went out to the car with the child who needed a diaper change? Probably because no man wants to be wth her.

Disgusting. Time and place for everything and a dining room in front of other patrons eating is NOT the place to change a dirty diaper.

It's slovenly behaviour for sure. Restaurant owners are completely in the right here. People forget that they are a guest in their establishment. A perfect example of the narcissistic attitude people have today. Don't care about other patrons having to watch, don't care about the person who has to clean up the mess. Just me, me, me, me, ME.

This behaviour is hardly isolated according friends who have worked as servers. One of the girls at work was telling me she had a baby poop on the dining room floor. Mother was completely oblivious to it, but did at least apologize.

It's no wonder a lot of better restaurants are starting to ban children. Being able to shoot DNA at each other doesn't give you special privileges to be a slob in society. Or at least it shouldn't.

Really, what would that have been, an extra 100 feet to walk? Worthless human being.

Let me play devils advocate here. (Not sure this is exactly the situation but bare with me)

So the mothers there with her kids. Food has been delivered but not payed for. Baby messes diaper. No changing table.

Do you walk out with your entire party to the car to change the diaper saying, "I'll be back", as you go? Assuming the place doesn't call the police assuming you've stiffed them for the meal.

Do you ask to to pay the check first then go outside and come back? Assuming your table will still be there when you get back and allowing the baby to sit in shit while you wait for the check and stink up the place?

Do you quickly change the diaper and hope no one notices?

Do you never go out with a child until they are 18 so sensitive special flowers don't have to encounter children while they are out?

Dirty diapers stink, the question is did they stink worse than the pizza people were eating?

I know you are playing devils advocate. Despite the fact I have no kids I am trying to see this from the mother POV. There are many ways the mother could have handled it better. I would have paid for my food and then asked the waitress to hold my table for a few minutes until I returned. Outdoors in the car would have been a far better place to change the baby than in the dining room where others are eating. The mother is clueless. The fact that she complained to the better business bureau speaks for itself and the lady still doesn't get it.

I have been in the mothers situation (though with just 2 kids). I hate restaurants that don't have a changing station in the bathroom. many usually just have one in the women room if they do have one.

What i would have done (and have done). I notify the staff that I need to go change the diaper. i then go to the van and change it.

OK so i walked another 200 feet ohhh!

i go in and get my food and eat.

i agree with the owner in throwing her out. To do that at the table is just disgusting.

When I raised my child Most places did not have " Changing Tables ". You can change a diaper without one in the restroom. I have done it, it isn't that hard. She was a dumb ass and should have been tossed.

I recall one time eating out with my older daughter when she was maybe 9 or 10 months old. She had been acting restless and uncomfortable all night then about half-way through dinner she suddenly calmed down and started looking relaxed. I'm sure you can imagine what had transpired.

Unfortunately she had a huge round of the Hershey-squirts for which her disposable diaper was decidedly unprepared. The ensuing deluge spread into a large puddle under her high-chair which neither her mother or I noticed for several minutes. When we finally did notice we were mortified, took one look at each other in horror, hastily grabbed one side of the high-chair each and beat feet right out the back door carrying my daughter still strapped into said chair!

Needless to say we not only took care of the nasty business in the parking lot not only that we were too embarrassed to go back in and finish our meals despite the assurance of the hysterical waitress's that it was fine. For the life of me I can't understand how this woman could have changed a poopy diaper at the table!

I'm a little surprised most people are just saying disgusting.

It's a hell of a lot more than disgusting. It's unsanitary and dangerous, and the restaurant could easily be shutdown and legal action taken if someone had filmed her changing the kid on a table that people eat from - especially if it went viral.

This woman had absolutely no excuse to do what she did.

If the place doesn't have a changing table, your babies are not welcome.

Go to the BK lounge.

That's nasty, she was rightfully kicked out and they did the right thing. Breastfeeding is one thing, since it's not really gross, does not smell, and typically can be done fairly stealthy. Changing a diaper is crossing the line.

Babies and really young kids don't really belong in a restaurant anyway, it's hard on them and hard on everyone around. Get a babysitter.

Gotta love political activism, eh?

Maybe her and Tony Stewart can get together and throw that dirty diaper on that kid that Stewart just murdered's grave and Tony can do some doughnuts on the fresh ground after they bury him.

Then they can start a charity in his memory, the Make A Sh#tstain Foundation...with 90% of the proceeds going to Tony's niece (or any other family member who "REALLY CARES" about the children) who will be the CEO of the organization in a few years. The other 10% can go to "helping poor kids" become race car drivers, of course.

I changed my son's diaper while he was standing up before, ain't easy, but better than doing at the table. Maybe they'll get a changing table now though, that was probably her point.
