OK...hopefully someone in here can help me!

Over about the last month I have been having a lot of problems with crashes. Various different BSOD's. Sometimes a reason is listed...win32k.sys(or something like that), sound card, but more often nothing is listed.

Here's what I've tried so far:

Ran Memtest...all passed every time I've run it.
New mobo...same exact type.
New boot drive.
New vid card.
Reformat and reinstall windows.
Pulled my sound card and switched to onboard sound.

I can play Madden07 for hours and not have a problem. It seems as though when I'm actually using the system, I rarely have a problem. It's when I leave it alone or doing a task that I have problems (encoding a DVD, etc.). Even if I'm not doing anything and just leave it idle, it always seems to crash.

Here's a summary of my system:

AMD Athlon64 2.2 GHz socket 939
Asrock Dual SATAII mobo
Connect 3D PCI-E X1900GT
2Gb Crucial Ballistix
2 IDE drives - 250Gb(boot drive) and 320Gb on IDE channel one.
Plextor 16x DVDRW on IDE channel 2
300Gb SATA drive
Antec Tru Power 450W PSU
All well cooled in a Lian-Li PC61 case.

I had the same problems with my old video card before my reformat - an X800XTPE AGP.
At one time or another, I tried re-installing Windows on each of my 3 drives with the same problem.
Voltages and Temps

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Update: Just thought to check system information for any conflicts, and under conflicts/sharing in Hardware Resources, the following was listed:

I/O Port 0x00000000-0x00000CF7 PCI bus
I/O Port 0x00000000-0x00000CF7 Direct memory access controller

I/O Port 0x000003C0-0x000003DF PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
I/O Port 0x000003C0-0x000003DF Radeon X1900 GT

Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF PCI bus
Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF Radeon X1900 GT

I/O Port 0x000003B0-0x000003BB PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
I/O Port 0x000003B0-0x000003BB Radeon X1900 GT

Everything else under Hardware Resources shows up as OK.

OK...I think I may have figured it out. I think it's my SATA drive. It seems like whenever I have a problem, whatever I'm doing is accessing my SATA drive. I can test this, but before I do anything, I have a lot of data I need to get off of that drive.

Can anyone tell me which program I can get that will allow me DOS level access to an SATA drive? I have Acronis as my backup program, but unfortunately, I can't access my SATA drive with this. When i try to remove files even in safe mode to another drive, I get crashes.

Thanks, and if you think I'm wrong and that it may be something else, let me know.

OK...took out my SATA drive, and I'm still having the same issue. Any ideas?

Have you tried looking up what the BSOD stop codes mean? I'd write them down every time you get a BSOD, and then google them. Hopefully it will point to something.
Looks like you ruled out your mobo, ram, vid card, hard drive, sound, and windows install. So that leaves your CPU, power supply, and IDE drives. Unless there is something else unforseen.
Anyway, sounds like a sucky problem, good luck.

OK...here are some of the errors I've been getting in my BSOD's:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
BAD_POOL_CALLER
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

This problem is getting very frustrating!! I'm trying removing my Antivirus software, and see if I still have issues. I have tried many different video drivers. As for hardware, The only thing I have left to try is my CPU and my power supply. Unfortunately, I don't have spares for either, so if this persists, I'll have to buy new. Any suggestions on which to try?

uhoh... I remember that one. I wish I could remember the circumstances, but it was a bitch to work around. I want to say I had to reshuffle my PCI cards...

Have you tried reinstalling windows?

I have reinstalled windows already. Also, I have no PCI cards unless if you count my PCI-E graphics card.

have you always had problems with this motherboard? That would be my next suspect. I'd suggest that you start thinking about RMA'ing it. Hope you used newegg.....

The problem I'm having is exactly the same with the new motherboard as with my old one, so i've ruled that out.

Just out of curiousity, what is a normal reading for the -12v and -5v line? Using MBM5, I've been logging my voltages, and consistently get readings of 1.65-1.75 v on the -12, and 2.65-2.75 on the -5 v line. Is this normal?

Thanks.
