Here in the UK ,I went to a small Country village & there was this pub selling stuff called Old Roger, it looks like treacle nearly as thick anyway they give you the third pint free if you are still standing.

one time when i was headed to a party, we were throwin back some 40z in the back seat, mickeys to be exact, even though oe800 is better, and then we witnessed the craziest accident right in front of us on the freeway. so mickey is craziest beer in my book.

i have some vanilla porter in my fridge right now... weird stuff... dixie's blackened voodoo tastes like chocolate, also crazy.

worst beer is natty light. i'm not even gonna try sportz.

ChiaBrit - Tanglefoot is excellent! I've had that myself in the UK in a wonderful country pub.

The oddest beer was one from India that had pepper flakes floating in it. I can't remember the name...

Huber Bock...In my early college years this was the cheapest dark beer we could get our hands on. You can't argue with $10.99 a case for suds that are worlds better than Busch Light (the college freshman's choice of brews).

I once tasted a beer that contained... 28% alcohol !!!!!
It was Eku I think, and it tasted like shiit !

AndrewR your are talking of "Gueuze", it's not a brand, it's a kind of beer, there are some wonderful ones but there are some bad ones too...

I'm so surprised to see that some Americans know Belgian beers !

We have so many beers here... 1000 different ones for a country which is only 11786 square miles ! I think Germany has around 5000 different ones... but our beers are better, sorry nickdakick

If you can find them, you should taste

- Chimay (blue label)
- Duvel (means devil in dutch)
- Delirium Tremens
- Rochefort
- Blanche de Hoegaarden (I know they sell it abroad a lot, even in Japan)
- Leffe radieuse
- Westmalle triple

Don't try all of them the same evening, you may end up in hospital !!!

andrew-r, i had heard nashville had a good selection of beer and pubs to hit, but i haven't been up there in about 6 years, and at 15, drinking was still a gross thing to me i'll have to remember that when i do get back around there....the relation the hospital is probably a coincidence for all the med students to get drunk on one drink after screwing up on an operation or something or just for those who decide to try more than 2

All the Carlton & United Brewery (CUB) beers from Victoria are piss weak, including 'Melbourne Bitter', 'Victorian Bitter', 'Foster's' & anything else with the Foster's moniker & anything with the 'Carlton' moniker.

Friend of mine mixes 50/50 Guiness and Sam Adams Cherry Wheat- calls it chocolate covered cherry- pretty tasty

I like Mackeson Triple Stout- you can hold a lighter behind a juice glass of it and not see the flame
