I got the E6600 Retail box for a friend at FRYS for $199.99 shipped 3 months ago, and that was a hot deal, price has not been that low since, this is super hot as i already have a XP-120 heatsink, now all i need to order is the $10.00 adaptor kit which adapts it to socket 775.

and hopefully i will be running 3.5GHZ 24/7

The Foxconn P965 mATX board with Intel GMA3000 graphics for $50 after rebate (save 2% in Fatcash, too) is a great choice, also. (BTW, the box says ICH8R even though Newegg says just ICH8. I haven't tried it yet to verify.)

Newegg has a great deal on just about all of Foxconn's boards.

How/why Microcenter is doing this, I'm not sure, but it's a great deal at the moment (also note that MC is giving a 90-day warranty whereas most places give a 30-day on OEM CPUs). I can't remember a time when one retailer/etailer had such a huge price difference in CPUs (at least, without a rebate).
