I grew up in Kansas, live in FL for school now. Im amazed by how scared people get when they see a tornado warning.

At home: tornado warning= get in the trucks and see what we can see.
Here: Tornado warning= run around and panic because you might possibly die

And wash its wang it did. I drove home through the first squall line from Boca to points south. Crazy strong winds at the gust front, verrry cold rain, indicating enhanced lift and cooling. There were reports of tornados in tampa and the space coast but I don't think anything was confirmed for PB and broward.

If a FL tornado kills you, you are doing it wrong. F1 at BEST, usually only last a few seconds. The tornados here are a different breed. Much weaker and never enough support to last very long.

Yeah, especially near the coast. Anyway, we got a tornado warning yesterday despite there being 0 tornados and absolutely no radar indication of tornadoes..

What's the deal with that? At home (tornado alley...) it was pretty common for a tornado warning to indicate a visual confirmation or atleast radar indicated rotation.
