Crazy temps

I've just set up mbm5. It detects 2 temp sensors. One gives a readout of 51C and the other -20C.
First thing is the -20C bit. What on earth does this refer to?
The second is that my BIOS gives the CPU temp as 41C about 10 seconds after I close windows. Why am I getting a higher temp from mbm?
The mobo is the 7CTKCJ Chaintech (AMD 761), the CPU a TBird 1.2.
I have only done the basic setup on mbm - I haven't messed around with any weird settings. Anyone help me with these questions?

gee, I'm really suprised that you would need MBM at all. Being that you're European and all, one would just assume that you are omniscient, and all temperatures are always known to you :disgust:

but i'm just a crass American, so how could i divine these things?
