Creatine experience?

I'm tired of weightlifting and not seeing any results. I lift about 3 times a week. If I start using creatine I'll probably go 6 days a week. Does anybody have any experience with using it? What form did you take? I'll probably take it in pill form so I don't have to force down those shakes.

It is simply a substance used to increase your heart rate. Do heavy sit ups and plenty of cadio and you will get better results.

Creatine is another money maker. It will not make you bulk up instantly. Nothing will.

Don't overdo the weight lifting (overtraining).

1) While on it drink a lot of water
2) While on it eat a lot of food including protein interspersed throughout the entire day
3) Do not ever, ever skip breakfast
4) Take at least several grams of creatine a day. You don't need the shakes; you can get pure powder and mix with water or grape juice or something
5) First time I was on it I put on 12 pounds of bodyweight in 14 days. Much was water but my muscles were larger. I was on it 40 days the first time and increased my overall body strength by about 15-20%. I was VERY pleased with creatine.

It is simply a substance used to increase your heart rate. Do heavy sit ups and plenty of cadio and you will get better results.

Thats totally inaccurate.

The above statement is just an opinion.

Heavy sit ups? None does sit ups any longer they work your hip flexors and injure your lower back

Just increases your heart rate? It didn't increase mine.

Vary your routine more. Light days and heavy days. Take some time off. The body adapts to routines and then compensates. Don't OVER work either or your body does not have time to recover fully.

The above statement is an opinion based on years of working out and research.

I don't expect it to 'bulk me up instantly.' If it can make my time in the gym more worthwhile, however, it seems like a good idea.

That's a good point Skoorb, I should pay more attention to what and when I eat.

How much should I expect to pay for this pure powder?

Doesn't that thing make you break out with zits? My friend is pretty cut but his face is full of zits...probably still taking it.

Cyberpump promotes supplement-hating propeganda Their site is good, but I eventually become a bit disallusioned with them. The pure fact of the matter is that creatine works. This has been proven. It is also very safe (as far as we know).

The creatine pure powder is pretty cheap. I haven't taken the stuff in a couple of years but don't expect to pay too much.

If you are not really getting anywhere with working out I am not sure creatine will help. It enhances your gains, but if you're not really making any its benefits will be limited. You should look to your workout schedule first and probably more important, and something mostpeople ignore, is diet. You can't get large eating 2 meals a day and drinking beer. Take in protein constantly throughout the day and an ample supply of calories.

I bet you will see BIG results! However, that will be due to the 6X/week routine more than the creatine.

Dietary supplements are the biggest crock since "Wonder" bread.

Dietary supplements are the biggest crock since "Wonder" bread.

True! EXCEPT for creatine and a few of the weight loss ones that combine caffeine and ephedrine.

I agree, but I know I was never able to eat the amount of protein necessary. So, I do believe in protein powders and the metabolic rate increases that the ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin stacks purport.

P.S. - the rolos I am eating right now, are an excellent supplement for increasing overall girth of your mid-section.

my friend used it and did gain a lot of weight
but a lot of that weight it was probably water, since creatine makes you retain water

What worked best for me was taking eating good Protien, Creatine power and then taking Xenedrine with it. The Creatine would bulk me up and the Xenedrine would take out all that excess water. I swear i would piss every 20 min.

Not everyone will respond to weight training. I can exercise all I want and although I get stronger, I will NEVER have any noticably greater muscle mass. Most folks never will.

Eat right, exercise 3 times a week and be happy.

I used to take it I tried EAS's but I never saw the results I wanted so I got off it and just worked out harder. I got better resultsby going off it and and lost weight (fat) while adding muscle
