Creative 12x10x32 to Plextor!

Did anyone try to convert their Creative 12x10x32 to plextor?

I just bought mine recently and want to convert to plextor. I download a hack file to convert to plextor, but I'm not sure if the rom file really work. I must assume the rom file only convert hex text title on the chip embedded source code, right!

Anyway, if anyone had try, please let me know and what are advantages of modified creative to plextor.
