Went to Denver Mills Best Buy. At first, they said they had none - sorry. Then I looked at a side display, and they had like 8. So an employee grudgingly took one out, verified the price, and called the manager. The manager made him call some 800 number, and the employee did. He never spoke with anyone, just listened for about 1 minute, and magically came back with a story that it was a price mistake. I tried asking them for just 1 at the price they show in their checkout computers, they wouldn't budge. I should have made a scene, I guess, as I don't see this any different from a tag on the shelf mistake, which they honor. This one was even in their system, and they would not honor it. Typical Best Buy, congrats to all who have gotten them, with my luck I have to run into "righteous" employees, sheesh.
BTW, I also went into a different store earlier, where I called ahead, and had them set 2 aside for me. The puke on the phone said they have 4, and when I came in about 30 minutes later, they magically "disappeared" - apparently he was telling me the stock from his computer, without actually checking the units. Yeah, like I really believe that story.
Long story short, I got screwed 2 different ways in 2 different stores - BB is really working on their reputation here...
I did manage to snag a dated price check, though, which CLEARLY states the date and time and price. This may yet come in handy...
