I've never been able to wear in-ear headphones.. the kind that come standard with most audio devices that look like this.. I must have small ear canals or something because the only thing I can use are over-the-hear ones like this.

Do you think these would stay put for someone like me? Enough to wear them at the gym? TIA

Try the shure E2c or E3c. They come with different types of earplugs. I've both of them and lost them during trips. The Bose quiet comfort 3 is also great but pricey...

In-ear headphones are the reason why many people have problem with hearing. Cut these out and bur over-the-head regular type.

there's this magical feature called volume control.

some say these ep-630's are identical to the sennheiser cx300's, some disagree. i haven't tried either so i dunno.

i'd like to present an alternative as well, the jvc marshmallow's are another highly regarded set of headphones in this price range. they can be had from buy.com with google checkout discount for ~$8.

Actually, earbuds are far better that over the ears when it comes to hearing problems.

IEM's help block out the sound (with proper fit), thus you don't have to turn up the volume. Standard ove the ears are suseptible to outside noise, unless they have noise cancelation.

How much of an improvement would these be over the stock in the ear phones that came with a Creative Zen Nano?

Also, has anyone ever tried buying these on ebay direct from china? Are they just OEM phones or knockoffs? They go for about $14 shipped for 2 pairs.

If these are indeed rebadged Sennheiser CX-300s, this is a GREAT upgrade.

In ear headphones all have microphonic noise from the cord, so its impossible to use in the gym. In fact, they are difficult to use even while walking.

I have more headphones than I can count, including these, Ety Er-4P, Er-6i, Sennheiser MX400, 500, PSP Universal Headbangers, Koss KSC-75 and some Elite 840s and more that I can't remember.

IMO, these are good for the price for noise isolation, the ER6i are better for isolation, but are just expensive enough that they are not as worth it. The ER-4Ps I have are almost 4 years old, and have been great. They are my favorites for in ear phones, because of the way the cord is twisted (and does not grind against your shirt), they are definately going out though... the circuitry in the wire most likely (losing sound in one ear sometimes, or softer in one ear).

I like the KSC 75s, but they are ugly as hell. I use Elite840s when I'm at home on my during late nights. And... I have the Pelican Headbangers, which I use daily (Love them), and the MX400s in the gym (not too bad). These creatives for bus rides, subway, on planes and my old ERs for backups. (Or rather, they were far more expensive so I use them less lol)

My e2c's have some microphonics, but not to the point to stop me from using them on a treadmill or a jogging course. Did you happen to have any experience with the shure lineup? I picked these over ety's for their reputation for relatively low microphonics and more relaxed (less upper freq accentuation) sonic signature. In case you had a chance to hear e2c's, I would like to ask you how you would rate them against these creatives. TIA.

I have the Sennheiser CX-300s and they are amazing. If there are really re-badged, I will buy like 10 of them.

do not buy the ones of ebay unless they are in retail packaging, the rest are fakes and do not perform the same.
i have the senn 300s also and i love them. these look very similiar and lots of reviews claim them to be the same. there are a couple minor cosmetic differences i believe. the senn cx300 have a J-cord and angled plug where i think the creatives have a Y-cord and straight plug. most people wont care about it but im sure some will. hope this helps

I got these headphones a few weeks from amazon for 30. Let me tell you they sound so nice much better then anything sony can offer. The bass is deep yet soft enough so you could hear other notes in your music. The isolation is very good and they fit very nicely. For 20 bucks they are a steal
