dammit!!! i just purchased my geforce2 mx made from some generic company for $118 not more than 2 weeks ago. grrrrrrrrr. max score on 3dmark2000 800x600 is 4459 on a very similar test system. on the review link, it listed the score as around 5500 for this card.

this is a much better deal. wish i had held out til now.

Unsickle: What does that mean? If this somehow isn't allowed, will somebody please delete my thread? I wanted to help others, but if something is wrong I'll just help myself...

Thank you!

I wonder how long they will be on back order?

I hope its not as long as that monitor I ordered 2 years ago.

"This has already been posted before, just to let you know."

Thanks, but:

1) They didn't include the benchmarks link.
2) Somebody from another forum asked me to post here.

Leo V: The link benefits whatever site you got it from, that's all (sort of like a referral link?). It's generally frowned upon here, but I'm not gonna be a moderator

Thanks!

360mhz?!

On a MX?!

MX uses SDR ram, so to get 360 mhz memory, u'd have be to be using SDR ram that's rated less than 3 ns.

I believe the Creative MX comes with DDR Ram (at least according to Creative's website). Definitely a hot deal. Note that it doesn't come with active cooling though, so it'd be wise to snap on a 486hs/f (or a lasagna if you have it) to get better overclocking. The review linked to in this thread showed a 175->210 processor overclock, which could easily be beaten with active cooling. I'd wager that you could probably reach gts2 ultra level clock speeds with better cooling.

My order say "sent to warehouse" I noticed the status was changed from "back-order" to "pre-order". Does that mean anything?

this is one HOT HOT DEAL!!!

That chip is gonna scream with DDR!!

I cant believe that they are making this chip/ram combo for 100!!!

At that price/performance, why would anyone get a geforce 2 GTS??

I mean, who could really tell the difference between 98 fps and 109 fps in Q3 arena?

I cant wait for mine to get here!!!

No offense guys, but you are all idiots.

the DDR geforce MX is just as slow if not slower than other geforce MX's

the DDR memory bandwidth on the creative is 64 bit, while the otehr SDR MX's have a 128 bit mem bandwidth, effectively having double the bandwidth.

therefor, unless the creative is overclockedt to at least 333, its going to be slower.

and as stated previously...the ram does 365 w/o any heatsink or active cooling...no idiots here

EDIT
the only problem now is finding them. every single store is backordered and don't expect shipment for a while.

the normal geforce2 MX SDR overclcoks to at least 190.
200+ is common

is 400 MHZ ddr possible? from 7ns ram?

I can barely get 366 from my infineon 6ns DDR ram off of a 7700.

other geforce2 mx's SDR will still be faster,
