I used the 25 off 75 on the X-gamer (non 5.1) last week, the card came yesterday. Cost was less than $55. Three full version games included, one of them is Thief, another is a version of Need for Speed, forgot the last one. Thanx to this forum, I've saved big money on a Gladiac GTS, a 30 GB drive, and now the sound the card. Hot Deals FOrum, keeping the economy going.

My initial order was Dec 28, delivery due Jan 5. I called Staples on due date because web site said "processing" instead of "shipped". CSR said that they had systems problems and my order hadn't been submitted to the warehouse. They restarted my order on Jan 5 for delivery Jan 12. It showed up Jan 15 via UPS. CSR mentioned that shipping "special items" takes longer. I guess my hard drive wasn't special since I ordered it on 12 Jan and it showed up with my X-gamer yesterday.

I love Staples. I'm not in a 1 day delivery area, but I've ordered at least 8 things from them in the last month, and all arrived timely. Not to mention the incredible deals I've gotten on all my stuff, much of which will end up being free or darn near it.

I only wish I would have thought of this deal before I ordered my regular SB-Live value for my second machine for only a few dollars less from another vendor. Of course, I already have one of these and have the games, so it's no big deal.

I've heard that the non-5.1 Live!s have problems passing the DD stream from DVDs through the digital out in Win2k. Can anyone confirm/deny this before I pick one up?

A comment here has me wondering - is there any difference between the SB Live Value, X-gamer, and MP3 besides the software bundle? They certainly look the same from the specs on Creative's web site.
