Yes i undertsand that, thats not what i'm asking about. This is the first time i have had any problem getting credit since the bankruptcy, but thats not my concern at the moment. My concern is what i feel are problems with my report.

If there are things showing on your credit report that are incorrect you need to tell equifax, truecredit, etc and THEY are responsible for correcting mistakes on their reports. If you have a document showing that the "delinquent" or "charged off" accounts were paid you can usually fax the copies to the credit bureaus and they will update their records.

You should definitely call your credit bureuas (equifax, trans uniion, and whatever the third one is) and also the people who reported the messed up accounts.

How is it that you've been able to get approved for any credit after filing for bankruptcy?

Because the law says he can't file for bankruptcy again for a certain number of years, so all these credit companies know they got him this time around if he slips.

But what does that really mean? CAK if you call a company and say I'm done paying you guys do your worst what is the worst they can do?

A) does the one credit card need to say it was included in the bankruptcy, instead of collection/chargeoff? Is one better then the other in terms of points? The one that does say it's included in the BK has a $0 balance, and did not add to my revolving balance.

You want the credit card to reflect that it was part of the bankruptcy if it was. Collection/Chargeoff implies that there is still a liability.

B) Should both the first USA account and the collection for first usa be on the report?

Yes. They are tied together by account information.

**As a side note. If you do any disputing in regards to your credit report, it needs to be done in writting to the credit reporting agency. If you call the creditor and tell them there is a mistake, they are under no legal obligation to correct in a timely manner. The Credit Reporting Agency has a legal obligation to correct any wrong information within 30 days. If you send a dispute in and the creditor doesn't respond to the reporting agency, the reporting agency must take the information off of your report completely (not just make notes about the lack of response) and/if the creditor sends confirmation of the information at any point after the 30 days, the information is put back onto your report.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure. Since it still adds to my revolving total i figured it would be bad. I assume it will no longer add to the total if i get it changed? While it does say collection/chargeoff it's not listed as a collection account also.

Well i have plenty of assets in my case, so they would get something. My total amount of credit isn't over my assests worth. That may have been a factor in me getting the credit i have, I don't know.
