After you die, would you prefer your family bury your body or cremate you? Assuming these are the only two options.

Cremated for sure. Burial makes no sense to me; complete waste of land.

cremation... dont want my body rotting for the rest of the eternity and wasting space... and then eventually someone digging it up and disposing it off... eeww... creepy. Burn and be done with it... spread the ashes somewhere at the most...

My ex's high school buried a time capsule 25+ years ago. They placed it in a donated burial vault. When they dug it up, the vault was full of some really disgusting water. No thank you.

Cremation, please. I don't like worms, either.

Tibetan sky burial plz

My first pick.

Cremation without a doubt between the two choices in the OP. I see no reason to waste space and more money then you have too. I really would like the sky burial though.

I would prefer to be cremated and buried at sea. This is what we did for my father too.

Cremated and ashes spread at an unknown location. I REALLY don't want my kids to squabble over who's time it is to tend to the grave.

I would donate my body to science or to a medical school for students to practice on.

But, if my only options were to be burried or burned, I would probably say burred but not in a box and not in some graveland, instead, I would be burried in farm land, so that my decaying corpse could be fertilizer for crops.

Aye, definitely that. I would love to have my body ripped apart for science.

Only those two? Cremation.

Preferred? Promession

Promession involves five steps:

1. The body is frozen by immersion in liquid nitrogen, which makes it brittle.
2. The frozen remains are shattered by vibration.
3. The remains are then subjected to a vacuum so that the ice sublimes and the powder becomes dry, and weighs 50% to 70% less than the original body.
4. Any metals (e.g., tooth amalgam, artificial hips, etc.) are removed, either with a magnetic process or sieving.
5. The dry powder is placed in a biodegradable casket which is interred in the top layers of soil, where aerobic bacteria decompose the remains into humus, or compost, in as soon as 12 months.

Cremation on an open fire, preferably Viking ship style. In any case, rather be picked apart by critters than processed by workers doing a jerb (whether cremation or burial).

Whatever is most convenient or comforting to the people left. I'll be dead, I won't have an awareness anymore to care.
