We'll see how cute your comment is when you have to pay to watch the playoffs. Don't think it'll happen? Give it 3-5 years. Networks aren't going to be able to pay what the NFL wants for rights to the games so either the rights will be non-exclusive (like Fox and CBS will have the rights to show the same games at the same time but they pay less for these rights) or they'll have to make up the difference. They'll do that by charging for playoff games. Then, when people get used to paying for that, they'll charge for the big games during the regular season. They'll probably never charge for the Superbowl since they'll make enough ad revenue to cover expenses for that.Originally posted by: joecav

I think not. The smaller the TV pot gets, the lower the salary cap will go.

oh oh oh... wait. Lets not get started. You know what this is called??? flaming!! There. Dont get me wrong. I dont say I dont like seeing big grown men grind themselves into the ground. Hey... I actually watch the game on and off. But then again... It just so happens that some people prefer watching a less aggressive sport which is actually played by more than one country in the world. So.. they can truly call the world cup.. a world cup! I dont say that Cricket is a better game than American 'Football'! Its just a matter of preferences. Just like there are deals on say netgear network cards and on 3com network cards. Each is liked by a different person... but ultimately both are network cards and help you connect to some form of internet (Usually). Football AND Cricket are both just sports which entertain.. Lets not make a thing of fun....into something nasty Cheers Mohan.

Is that a sport? What kind of ball?
Do you kick it and run, or throw it?
