I'm currently on Metro PCS's 60 dollar unlimited plan. My speeds are outstanding with lows being well over 10-15 mbps and the highs anywhere from 40-70 mbps. However, as most are well aware, it's on T-Mobile's towers. This means that I lose coverage in places away from the city. I don't frequent those places that often, but when I do it sucks to go all the way to the Edge network. Every now and again I'll lose signal at my college, I'm guessing due to the spectrum issues (which they are supposedly fixing).
I'd like to give Cricket a try since I had success with GoPhone, but it's the 8 mbps cap that troubles me. The deal for 20 gigs a month seems very tempting. At&t's network is already congested and I'm concerned that instead of getting 4-8 mbps, I'll wind up getting 1-2 or even less than that. Does anyone that uses Cricket have those problems or do you consistently get the advertised 4-8 mbps?
I think 20 gigs would be more than enough for me and the coverage would be much better, but if it's high pings and super slow speeds I'll pass. How is it during the weekend and at rush hour?
