Is anyone here using Cricket Wireless for their cell phone service? It appears to have been down for about four hours, and their facebook page is flooded with complaints.

I made a call to my office earlier today and it was ok. I am in the Deep South USA. We do have a lot of rain around here lately.

Yep! I and about 317 million other Cricket users are PISSED beyond PISSED!

My phone still says Emergency calls only. When I left the store I wanted to play Pandora through my FM transmitter and had no cell signal at all! I couldn't make a 9-11 call if I had to! Good thing I have Comcrap voice and a backup dumb phone just for 9-11.

You should see the Twitter feed! Nice to know their damn website doesn't even mention this outage. When I got home from the store fuming. I went to my computer to contact them and found this: http://fox13now.com/2016/06/03/cricket-wireless-outages-affecting-customers-across-the-country/

How can something be so intertwined that the whole damn thing goes down nation wide? And to think I just auto payed them today.

That's what the link you and I posted. I couldn't believe it either.

Oh! I reread it. They "cover" 317 million people.

I wonder how many they screwed over though?

Edit- Established in 1999. 5 million customers.

Shit happens, same as when the power drops. When that happens, I light an oil lamp, and find something else to do. It's amazing this stuff works as well as it does, while fitting in your pocket, and traveling the world with you... Well, at least to walmart and back :^P

I keep books and analogue porn around just for moments like this.

Got a heart felt IM from Cricket...NOT! Not even a damn credit.

so, what do you think is fair compensation for the ~2-5 hour service downtime that you experienced?

20 cents? 40 cents? Probably less, right?

When I was on Cricket the last two years, my monthly bill was $35. I'm not going to bother with the math, but pro-rating a credit for 2-5 hours of service in a one month period seems....irrational.

500MB of high speed data would be a nice gesture.

When I had Netflix years back, they refunded me something like 50 cents for couple hours of service disruption. I didn't even know there was any service disruption as I wasn't watching Netflix during that time. But Netflix refunded everyone. It was pleasant surprise and great customer service on part of Netflix.

I was affected by the Cricket service disruption on Friday. I had to come here to find out why my Cricket service was down. That's piss poor customer service and the text I received from them yesterday just pissed me off more. I want a refund as a symbolic gesture. Even if it's one cent. Any refund shows they took ownership of the problem. There's no greater incentive than financial penalty.

My cricket service was out for 15 hours. What do you think that is worth?

A couple hours of lost service, no big deal for the hundreds of dollars I've saved over VZW post paid.
