Crimson 15.12 Available

I just installed it on my laptop and everything went smoothly. I rebooted without incident unlike with previous releases which greeted me with a black screen.

Not much more than WHQLed 15.11.1 from the notes. I am... underwhelmed AMD.

Looks like they fixed the Fallout 4 Compass flickering on the 390's but not the 290's... what exactly is different between them that would mean it works on 1 but not the other?

I think from the comments on 15.11.1 it's still not fixed on either. But it's really inexcusable for it to still be broken on anything at this point.

Especially since copying 2 dll files from a previous driver into the Fallout 4 directory fixes it for all Radeons. Keeps the Crimson improvements and fixes their own bug to boot.

Had the same problem. Just shut it down from the processes tab in the Task Manager and then go it folder and find the Localization folder. From there, delete El_GR and you're done .

Hell, just realized my HD7950 idle clocks are now at 500MHz instead of 300MHz.

Anyone can check his Idle clocks and see if they have raised or not with the 15.12 driver ??

R9 290's also at 500Mhz now, the 7870's are still 300Mhz though. Don't have my 7950's anymore to check them.

My 7850 is running at 300 according to CPU-Z. It's an older version though. 1.72.1 from May of '15.

Updated to Crimson last night and so far it's going good.

I had issues witht he upgrade as well. Try running DDU in safe mode and then reinstall 15.12.

Any reason to run the Crimson drivers for a 7950? Are they any better? I have no complaints with my older drivers other than BF4 performance seems hit and miss.

lot of people said the 390 was just a rename so go ask those guys.
