One vote for PapaJohns. Some pizzas are too thick (chicago-style and pizza hut pan), some are too thin.. PJs is just right.

The local pizza joints are really good sometimes, and sometimes not. But hard to argue over that since they are pretty inconsistent and a PJs is the same anywhere across the county.. I like that. Trying new things sucks (esp since i end up wishing i had gotten PJs anyway).

Dishonorable mention to Dominos for the WORST pizza ever. Completely disgusting. Only good thing from there are the wings and breadstix, too bad the other chains wings/stix are just as good IMO... but they do have some good cheesybread.

If I cant get PJs, pizza hut supreme (yes pan-style) is a great pizza but thats about it from pizza hut for me.

yep i agree, pJ is a welcome development, still are not all over the place in some parts, i hadnt been able to try it until this year whilst seeing commercials for the last 3 or so years.

yeah Dominos is sad... i only buy it for lunch if the guys want a cheap lunch and they have a promo....

Anyone remember Little Ceasers? The heck happened to them... they used to say 'pizza pizza' which is the same name as a chain in Ontario....


Werent many Ceasers around me, but of the two that I did go to, the crust tasted dense like 1st generation frozen pizza crust...

dominos is the worst but i'd still pick anyone's pizza over the rubbish u get in NJ that masquerades as pizza. worst stuff ever - dough is rolled as flat as a piece of paper, the sauce is apparently tomato-flavoured water, and the amount of grease on top could fill a fryer. on the plus side, i wouldnt overeat

"UNO's" Make a awesome pizza. There a chain with chicago style brick oven pizza. I had a square one and it was fantastic. Only found um in south flordia, but they're all over the east coast in big cities.

I like the get Stone Oven cooked pizza's, they're my favorite. But pizza hut and papa rock. Fk dominos and little ceaser is still in K-marts. They taste like bread.

I really like the "Muff-e-lotta" ? pita like sandwiches with olives and salomi and such in them. But I LOVE Papa Johns GARLIC BUTTER DIP. That one thing makes me order from there. Now if only all these places would bread there wings like Hooters.

Yeah we do, our Anniversary special is running right now - buy a Specialty pizza at regular price, get a large one topping for free! We are the most expensive chain, and we don't have many sales, but we also don't sell you the same crap the other two national chains will.

we ordered from papa johns once and were told they had no portabella (sp?) mushrooms.

I called their 800 number to complain to someone... made the person who answered put their supervisor on, and tried to get that guy to put me in contact with whoever his boss was but that wasn't happening. Blasted them about 'how in the hell you going to run out of mushrooms', their ads go on and on about how awesome these supposed mushrooms are etc.
basically trying to get some free pizza coupons or something..

but alas, none were to be had
