Completely agree. I was lucky enough to have Intel send me to an early screening of it. I absolutely loved it...like you I hated the emo 2nd one and thought the first one was alright despite all the Jar Jar bashing. I loved how everyone crapped on Jar Jar for being a Black stereotype and completely ignored the completely Asian themed Trade Federation guys...lmao

Just goes to show that with enough big words, an art snob can transform literally anything into a masterpiece. What a totally worthless discipline, but I guess humanities majors need jobs too.

Citizen Kane was nominated for a crapload of Oscars and won at least one. The only reason you could call it "unappreciated" is that it turned out to be one of the very best films of all time after its influence was seen over time. Revenge of the Sith will be lucky to be considered "not utterly horrific" in 50 years.

If you replace a few of the poorly acted/cheezy scenes, the movie was actually pretty good. Maybe a redo 20 years from now....
